Abandoned village
Rivarossa (Borghetto di Borbera)
Rivarossa is an abandoned frazione of the comune of Borghetto di Borbera.
Rivarossa was once a frazione of the comune of Molo di Borbera, but for services it already depended on Borghetto, today the main town of the comune. The village was abandoned around the middle of the twentieth century, when its inhabitants moved to the towns of the area, drawn by the jobs of the industrial boom.
Almost all the houses are now in ruins: the old well, a house turned into a bivouac and the little church overlooking the village from above remain intact.
